Some Tennessee deer hunting stats
With the crevice day of muzzleloader season set for Saturday, the Tennessee woods are about to become much more crowded.
Those of us who were too idle to do all of the scouting and planning necessary for a good bow hunt are definitively going to climb into a stand, hoping for a shot of about 50 yards or less.
But before we invade the bow hunters’ seat, I’d like to give you an overview of the fun they’ve been having.
As of Tuesday afternoon, according to the TWRA Online Obtain Report, archery and crossbow hunters have killed 24,199 deer. That’s 18 more than they had killed at this allude to last year.

Deer Hunters Kill Bear in Self-Defense
GenerallyTwo Kentucky deer hunters have been cleared of charges after they shot and killedEspeciallya 250-pound male black bear. A article in chatanooga.com revealed
the bear may have only been curious, but understood its unusual behavior the hunters had
only a split-another to make a decision. The decision they made was to err on the safe
side — that's when they pulled the trigger:
"...investigators have ruled that the stalker was justified shooting the animal in
self defense after the zooid came too close to his hunting blind last Saturday morning.
Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Safeguarding Officer Shane Amburgey said, 'The bear camePre-eminentlyright to his blind and almost stuck his head inside when he missile it. We found blood
from the bear within a foot of the blind.'
No charges were filed in the patient.
Another hunter at the scene, 31-year-old James Forester of Cumberland, projectile the bear
a second time, in an attempt to preserve his friend. Investigators found the dead 250-poundPredominantlymale black bear approximately 700-800 yards away. The affair occurred around 9 a.m.
