Fly Fishing Music -- Folk Style
There was a conversation on another forum about great music to listen to while fly fishing. While surfing the Net, I found this website: "www.alancayn.net" -- although I couldn't seem to get the music streaming working only just based on the Youtube of "Hapless Wader" I would have to say this is the first-class "fly fishing music" I've been able to find: "www.youtube.com/chronometer?v=f5f-yKH-Xx8" -- on top of that Alan Cayn is a "neighbour" being from Michigan.

Fall Fly Fishing on the Owyhee River, OR
Last Halloween my friends and I set out to Owyhee with the presentiment of catching a world class monster German Brown. Six hours passed and we walked away without a individual bite. We couldn’t call the trip a complete obliterate. The vibrant fall colors and crisp fall air kept our spirits extraordinary. All in all we were super stoked on just being out there to catch a glimpse of this famed river.
As the leaves began to switch and the ghosts transpired into front yards the thought of getting back to the Owyhee River once again crossed our brainpower. For this trip we wanted to be prepared to the fullest extent. We started at a blow the whistle on buy up on Overland called Anglers. Fly after fly was pulled by the kind and brown-nose shop attendant. We walked away with mahoganies, PMD’s, vulgar winged olives, cone head streamers, pheasant tailed nymphs, zebra midges and a freak mouse like streamer. Each of the smaller flies came in at $1.55 and the big mouse pennon was $1.95.

Fly Fishing News for the Week of October 27, 2008
The Uppermost Pecos Watershed Association and the Truchas Chapter helped uncovered the Forked Lightning Ranch unit of the Pecos Nationalistic Historical Park to fishing this autumn. This pilot program started on September 4th and runs through November 3rd. This program is a certain extent modeled after the one on Valles Caldera. The main difference is that there are only three fishing beats. Each vanquish is roughly one mile long and up to three anglers are allowed on each form. One is only available on a first come first served basis. The other two can be reserved by fax or dispatch. Currently they do not take reservations over the internet. The Responsibility of Game and Fish is urging anglers and others who visit the Pecos River Coul to take measures to prevent the spread of an invasive species of algae that could grant many problems for the Pecos River and other state waters. The New Mexico Situation Department confirmed a bloom of Didymosphenia geminata in the Pecos River next-door Cowles in August. Commonly called "didymo," the unwed-celled algae's large, ugly growths on branch gravels have earned it the descriptive name, "rock snot." It is an aquatic thorn in the flesh species known to be transferred around the world on boats, fishing materiel and footwear. Didymo can undergo explosive growth, creating gigantic algal blooms in the form of dense mats that can results native algae and invertebrates -- the food currish for native and sport fish. It appears to prefer habits low in nutrients and breathing productivity, but can be found in freshwater streams, rivers and lakes. The seeming increase in invasiveness of didymo may be related to factors including inter-basin turn over by humans, climatic changes, altered grazing, and genetic changes.
