Bike Crash in Dedham

I've already blogged ad nauseum about this over at myDedham.org and it is epoch to move on. But I thought this screen shot was quite cool. It shows the evidence collected from my GPS watch I was wearing as I recorded my bike ride to drudgery last Thursday. The satellite photo shows a red line where I was and the timing graph shows my dispatch.

I am fine; my left leg still aches a bit, but I was very lucky. My bike needs exertion.

I have not posted to this site for a few weeks because I have been busy over at WestwoodBlog and in the legitimate world. I will be back here soon!

Why is the Klein Panzer bike for selling? Because, I bought a new bike! Yes, the fleet has changed yet again. I guess it’s a continuing answer; finding the right bikes for the right cycling recriminate. You may have noticed in a previous post, the photograph of a nice set aside-speed bike. For several weeks I have been regularly browsing a local cycling classified side, in search of a low cost single-speed, or perhaps a nice touring shape bike. It’s a good site, however it seems that the majority of bikes were too big, too small, or $3,000 dollars.
Isn't it enjoyable?Last week, I found an ad, listing a Redline 925 for $225.00. This is great information! However, the ad was 3 days old, and had received over 150 views. I was certain the bike was gone. But, defective to be sure, I called the seller. To my surprise, he still had the bike, and actually hadn’t received many calls. I couldn’t hold my luck. The bike regularly lists for around $499.00 - $510.00, so I was excited at the possible of a great bike, at a great bargain.

City Council Considers Rights of Cyclists

(Editor's Note: This is the second in a five part series examining the five bike-connected items on this Friday's City Council Transportation Body Agenda.  The first piece looked at the city's bike sharing program.  If you prerequisite to join a group of cyclists traveling to the meeting, touch at the Red Line Stop at Santa Monica and Vermont Boulevards.)

Over nine months ago, the Bike Novelist's Collective released the Cyclists' Bill of Rights, a document outlining the prime rights every bike rider deserves.  The Bill of Rights has become a rallying purport for activists and has been adopted by the  East Hollywood, White Lake, Atwater Village and Coastal San Pedro Neighborhood Councils along with the Caltrans and Los Angeles Bicycle Monitory Committees.  It has also been included in the Ventura County Sovereign Plan.

After the horrific crash in Mandeville Canyon socialistic two cyclists and a car covered in blood and broken glass, state Councilman Bill Rosendahl drafted a Los Angeles City Caucus Resolution based on the Bill of Rights.  As you've probably already guessed, the solution is heading to the Transportation Committee this Friday.

But all is not well in the world of the Bike Author's Collective.  Concerned that the Bill of Rights could get ammended by the Assembly, the BWC is organizing cyclists to come to Friday's meeting and allude to in support of the resolution.  "Soap Box LA" writes at Midnight Ridazz:

The Cyclists' Bill of Rights exceedingly needs no endorsement, after all it's simply full of rights cyclists already be imbued when they ride but it's important that these rights are recognized and supported by our Urban district's leadership....
